Scuba diving price in North Goa, South Goa and Baga

The price is the same wherever you stay. Every dive starts at Novotel Resort & Spa in Candolim, North Goa. From there the boat takes you to Grande Island, where the reefs and the wreck are.

Staying in Baga, Calangute or Candolim? The start is a short drive away. From South Goa it's a long drive, and the day starts around 6 AM, so plan for an early wake-up.

How Goa compares with scuba diving prices in India

The Andaman Islands and Lakshadweep have clearer water. They also mean flights and a few nights on an island, and that adds up before you get in the water. In Goa, a dive is a morning out from your beach hotel.

The season runs from October to May, with 2 to 15 metres (about 5 to 50 feet) of visibility at Grande Island.

Best scuba school in goa highly recommended! My wife and I had an amazing experience with Flying Fish Scuba School and instructor Sunny. Despite her never having been in a swimming pool, my wife completed her dive course successfully thanks to their incredible support and professionalism. If you want quality instruction and genuine care—not scams—this is the place. 100% worth it!

you are looking for scuba diving in Goa, you’ve likely noticed dozens of operators offering "5-in-1" water sports combos at low prices. As a tourist, I was skeptical of these "scammy" setups. I decided to go with FlyingFish Scuba School (based at the Novotel Resort) based on the review It was definitely the right call and I can easily say it's the BEST scuba diving experience in Goa. The Training & Team The experience started with a thorough pool session, which was incredibly helpful for getting comfortable with the gear and breathing techniques before heading into open water. A huge shoutout to Mr. Dinesh and Ms. Maitri, they were phenomenal. Both were professional, friendly, and reliable, which is exactly what you want when you’re 10-12 meters underwater. The Dive (Scuba 40) I opted for the 40-minute dive. The marine life was beautiful; I saw a variety of fish and healthy coral reefs. They also provided video footage from an action camera, which was a great bonus. Note on visibility: While the shipwreck is a major draw, we couldn't see it during my session due to visibility issues. It’s worth keeping in mind that nature doesn't always cooperate, but the rest of the dive more than made up for it. Facilities & Logistics The logistics were handled very well: Changing Rooms: Clean and accessible facilities to change out of wet clothes both after the pool session and after returning from the jetty. Refreshments: Proper snacks were provided, which were much appreciated after the energy-intensive dive. Safety: The 1:1 instructor-to-student ratio during the dive made the whole experience feel very secure. Verdict If you want a "real" diving experience rather than a rushed tourist activity, this is a solid choice. It felt safe, organized, and honest. FlyingFish scuba surely made th diving experience memorable!

- Did an Open Water DiverScuba course with flying fish scuba in goa. This course stands out because at the same course price across India you get 4+2 speciality course dives, which can hugely improve your performance. As there base is at novotel candolim, you get better convenience if you decide to stay at the resort. - Our instructor was Anirudh. He was amazing, supportive and clarified all our doubts. You can trust him and his experience. You will learn a lot over the duration of course. - Dive sites are amazing both the wreck and coral colony. Happy Diving!

Scuba diving in Goa price: common questions

What is the price of scuba diving in Goa?

At FlyingFish, scuba diving in Goa starts at ₹2,970 + GST per person for a 20-minute Try Scuba dive. A 40-minute dive costs ₹4,950 and two 40-minute dives cost ₹8,910. Your instructor, the gear, the boat ride to Grande Island and HD photos and video are all included.

How much does scuba diving in Goa cost per person with GST?

All prices are per person and GST is extra. To book online you pay a booking amount of ₹2,000 per person for first dives and fun dives, or ₹5,000 per person for each course (a 2-course combo is ₹10,000, a 3-course combo ₹15,000). There is no GST on the booking amount. The balance and GST are in your final bill at the dive centre.

Why do some scuba diving packages in Goa cost ₹999?

Budget packages usually give you 10 to 15 minutes in shallow water near the shore, with one guide for several people, and charge extra for photos. Our dives are 20 to 40 minutes long, at a reef and a 1940s shipwreck at Grande Island, with a 1:1 SSI instructor on first dives and photos included.

Can non-swimmers do scuba diving in Goa?

Yes. You don't need to swim for Try Scuba, Scuba 40 or Scuba 40+40. Your instructor stays next to you the whole time and handles the equipment, and you breathe normally from the tank. The minimum age is 10. Certification courses like Open Water are different: for those you need to pass a basic swim and float test.

Is scuba diving safe for non-swimmers?

Yes, if you dive with a certified instructor. First dives go to 6 to 10 metres in calm water. Before the dive you learn the basic skills with your instructor, and on the dive a 1:1 SSI-certified instructor stays with you. Insurance cover is included.

How much does a scuba diving licence cost in Goa?

A scuba diving licence is called an Open Water certification. The SSI Open Water Diver course costs ₹23,760 + GST and the PADI Open Water Diver course costs ₹35,472 + GST. Both are valid for life and let you dive to 18 metres anywhere in the world.

What is the PADI price list in Goa?

PADI Open Water Diver costs ₹35,472, PADI Advanced Open Water ₹26,928, PADI Rescue Diver ₹32,819 and PADI Enriched Air Nitrox ₹17,870, all + GST per person. The full list is in the PADI tab of the course table on this page.

Is the scuba diving price different in North Goa, South Goa or Baga?

No. The price is the same wherever you stay. Every dive starts at Novotel Resort & Spa in Candolim, North Goa, and goes by boat to Grande Island. From Baga, Calangute or Candolim it's a short drive. From South Goa it's a long one, and the day starts around 6 AM.

When is the scuba diving season in Goa?

The dive season in Goa runs from October to May. From June to September the monsoon brings big swell and strong currents, so the boats don't go out. Visibility in season is usually 2 to 15 metres (about 5 to 50 feet).

Do you give a group price?

Yes. For 5 or more divers, send us your group size and dates on WhatsApp and we'll send you a group price.
