SSI Master Diver is the highest non-professional certification in recreational scuba. It requires Advanced Adventurer, 4 SSI specialty certifications, and the Diver Stress and Rescue qualification. This bundle rolls all the specialty and rescue requirements into a single 8–10 day programme at Grand Island, Goa.
To earn SSI Master Diver, you must hold: (1) SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent, (2) 4 SSI specialty certifications of your choice, and (3) Diver Stress and Rescue plus React Right first aid. This bundle satisfies all specialty and rescue requirements. You will need Advanced certification already, or can combine with our Open Water + Advanced bundle for the full pathway.
Popular combinations: Enriched Air Nitrox + Perfect Buoyancy + Deep Diving + Wreck Diving for an exploration focus, or Nitrox + Underwater Photography + Night Diving + Navigation for a photography focus. Your instructor helps you pick specialties that match your interests and Grand Island’s conditions. Some combinations also count toward SSI specialty ratings like Photography Diver and Recreational Diver.
Diver Stress and Rescue, including React Right first aid, is part of this bundle. The scenarios cover managing distressed divers, surface rescues, unconscious diver recovery, and emergency coordination. This is the hardest part of the Master Diver pathway, and also the most rewarding. You finish it genuinely able to handle a real diving emergency.
