Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings made with FlyingFish Scuba School at Novotel Resort & Spa, Candolim, Goa. Please read carefully before making your reservation.

1. Advance Payment

A non-refundable advance payment of ₹2,000 per person is required to confirm all bookings. This advance is non-refundable under all circumstances.

2. Cancellation by Customer

More than 7 days before scheduled dive Full refund minus ₹2,000 advance
3 to 7 days before scheduled dive 50% refund of total amount paid
Less than 3 days before scheduled dive No refund
No-show (without prior notice) No refund

3. Free Rescheduling

  • One free rescheduling is available if requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled dive
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability on the preferred date
  • If you fail to show up on the rescheduled date, the booking is automatically cancelled with no refund
  • Only one rescheduling is permitted per booking

4. Weather & Operator Cancellations

If FlyingFish cancels your dive due to adverse weather or unsafe sea conditions:

  • Full refund of all amounts paid, OR
  • Free rescheduling to the next available date (your choice)

5. Medical Unfitness

If you are found medically unfit to dive based on the medical questionnaire or instructor assessment:

  • Free rescheduling (once medically cleared), OR
  • Full refund minus the ₹2,000 advance
  • Doctor’s clearance is required if you are on daily medication

6. Partial Participation

  • If you complete pool/confined water training but decline the open water dive, no refund will be issued
  • If you are unable to complete the dive due to underwater discomfort, refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • No refund or compensation is payable for any unused portion of a booked experience

7. No Refund Situations

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • No-show without prior notice
  • Late arrival causing missed activity
  • Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Providing false or incomplete medical information
  • Failure to carry required government-issued photo ID
  • Violation of safety rules or instructor directives

8. Refund Processing

  • All approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
  • Refunds are credited to the original payment method
  • Bank processing times may add additional days
