Already a certified diver visiting Goa? This combo is the quickest way to get some guided dives at Grand Island while adding a useful qualification to your log. In just 1–2 days, you do 2 guided fun dives and earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty, one of the most widely used certifications in recreational diving.

The fun dives at Grand Island

Grand Island is Goa’s main dive destination, 10 km offshore from Bogmalo Beach. Your 2 guided dives visit Cathedral Rock, Bounty Bay, and Suzy’s Wreck at 12–18 metres. You might run into moray eels, scorpionfish, lionfish, the occasional reef shark, and schools of barracuda. Every dive is guided, with a maximum of 6 divers per instructor.

The SSI Nitrox specialty

The Enriched Air Nitrox specialty includes an online knowledge review, tank analysis with an oxygen analyser, and dive planning using EANx tables. You then do your fun dives on nitrox cylinders (32%+ oxygen), so you log real experience with enriched air. The certification is internationally recognised and lets you dive at nitrox-equipped centres worldwide.
