Already PADI Open Water certified? This is the natural next step. In 3–4 days at Grand Island, Goa, you complete the PADI Advanced Open Water course (5 adventure dives including a deep dive to 30m) and add the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty. You come away with more depth range and longer bottom times.
The PADI Advanced Open Water course consists of 5 adventure dives: the compulsory deep dive (to 30 metres) and underwater navigation, plus 3 elective dives from peak performance buoyancy, night diving, drift diving, underwater photography, or boat diving. Grand Island’s Cathedral Rock (coral walls to 26m) and Suzy’s Wreck (17m) are ideal for several of these adventure dives.
One of PADI’s most popular specialties worldwide. The theory covers EANx dive planning tables, oxygen exposure limits, and safe use guidelines. In the practical sessions you analyse nitrox cylinders before each dive. On your adventure dives you breathe Nitrox and feel the longer no-decompression limits for yourself. At 30m on Nitrox 32, your bottom time is nearly double what you’d get on standard air.
Once you finish this bundle, you can reach deeper dive sites in Goa (Rocky Island to 26m+), plan multi-day trips with longer bottom times, and use Nitrox at dive centres anywhere in the world. Two real upgrades in one short 3–4 day trip.
