You don't need any experience, and you don't need to swim. Each price is per person and covers your instructor, the gear and the boat to Grande Island. The real difference between them is how long you stay underwater.

We've been diving in Goa since 2016, and we're the official dive partner of Goa Tourism (GTDC).
A course gets you a scuba diving licence: a certification card that never expires and works anywhere in the world. We teach both SSI and PADI. They let you dive to the same depth, and SSI costs less with us.
Open Water course price: SSI ₹23,760 or PADI ₹35,472, + GST. Both certify you to dive to 18 metres worldwide.

You pay one price per person. There's nothing extra to pay on the day.
The price is the same wherever you stay. Every dive starts at Novotel Resort & Spa in Candolim, North Goa. From there the boat takes you to Grande Island, where the reefs and the wreck are.
Staying in Baga, Calangute or Candolim? The start is a short drive away. From South Goa it's a long drive, and the day starts around 6 AM, so plan for an early wake-up.
The Andaman Islands and Lakshadweep have clearer water. They also mean flights and a few nights on an island, and that adds up before you get in the water. In Goa, a dive is a morning out from your beach hotel.
The season runs from October to May, with 2 to 15 metres (about 5 to 50 feet) of visibility at Grande Island.
At FlyingFish, scuba diving in Goa starts at ₹2,970 + GST per person for a 20-minute Try Scuba dive. A 40-minute dive costs ₹5,940 and two 40-minute dives cost ₹8,910. Your instructor, the gear, the boat ride to Grande Island and HD photos and video are all included.
All prices are per person, and 18% GST is added at checkout. For example, Scuba 40 costs ₹5,940 + ₹1,069 GST = ₹7,009 per person.
Budget packages usually give you 10 to 15 minutes in shallow water near the shore, with one guide for several people, and charge extra for photos. Our dives are 20 to 40 minutes long, at a reef and a 1940s shipwreck at Grande Island, with a 1:1 SSI instructor on first dives and photos included.
Yes. You don't need to swim for Try Scuba, Scuba 40 or Scuba 40+40. Your instructor stays next to you the whole time and handles the equipment, and you breathe normally from the tank. The minimum age is 10. Certification courses like Open Water are different: for those you need to pass a basic swim and float test.
Yes, if you dive with a certified instructor. First dives go to 6 to 10 metres in calm water. Before the dive you learn the basic skills with your instructor, and on the dive a 1:1 SSI-certified instructor stays with you. Insurance cover is included.
A scuba diving licence is called an Open Water certification. The SSI Open Water Diver course costs ₹23,760 + GST and the PADI Open Water Diver course costs ₹35,472 + GST. Both are valid for life and let you dive to 18 metres anywhere in the world.

The dive season in Goa runs from October to May. From June to September the monsoon brings big swell and strong currents, so the boats don't go out. Visibility in season is usually 2 to 15 metres (about 5 to 50 feet).
