The Advanced Adventurer involves 6 adventure dives: a required deep dive to 30m and underwater navigation, plus 4 electives you pick from buoyancy, night diving, wreck diving, drift diving, and underwater photography. You’ll do these across several dive sites at Grand Island, which is where your range and confidence in the water really start to build.
After the Advanced training, you move into rescue scenarios. The Diver Stress and Rescue course teaches you to spot a diver in trouble, self-rescue, surface assists, handling an unconscious diver at the surface, and coordinating an emergency. You practise all of it in real scenarios in open water at Grand Island.
The React Right component covers primary and secondary emergency care: CPR, AED use, oxygen administration (critical for dive injuries like DCS), shock management, bleeding control, and diving-related injury response. Valid as a general first aid certification and required as a prerequisite for SSI Divemaster training.
