The best divers know what to do when something goes wrong. This bundle pairs the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue course with React Right (emergency first response), so you walk away with both water rescue skills and surface emergency care. You complete it in a single 4–5 day training programme at Grand Island, Goa.
The Diver Stress and Rescue course teaches you to spot and respond to divers in trouble, on the surface and underwater. You practise self-rescue, assisting panicking divers, managing unconscious divers at the surface, tow techniques, and coordinating an emergency response. The scenarios run in open water and they are deliberately tough, because real emergencies are too.
React Right is the SSI emergency first aid and CPR certification programme. You learn primary and secondary care: assessing a patient, performing CPR, using an AED defibrillator, giving oxygen (which matters a lot for dive injuries), managing shock, controlling bleeding, and handling dive-specific conditions including DCS and barotrauma.
Most recreational divers have never been trained to help in an emergency. Finish this bundle and you become a more confident diver and a buddy others can actually rely on if something goes wrong. It is also a required prerequisite for SSI Divemaster and Instructor training.
