Combo Save
Most divers wait months before adding a specialty. This combo skips the wait. In a single 4–5 day trip to Grand Island, Goa, you finish your Open Water certification and earn the Enriched Air Nitrox specialty, so every dive after that runs longer and gives you more bottom time to enjoy.
The Open Water course teaches you everything you need to dive independently to 18 metres: buoyancy control, underwater navigation, safe ascents, and emergency procedures. The Nitrox specialty shows you how enriched air extends no-decompression limits, so you can stay down longer and plan multi-dive days with more margin. The two certifications together set you up far better than Open Water on its own.
Enriched Air Nitrox (up to 40% oxygen) cuts nitrogen absorption compared to standard air, which means longer bottom times and shorter surface intervals. Add it to your Open Water cert and you start your diving with a skill most people only pick up years later. At Grand Island, where dives average 15–20 metres, you feel the difference right away.
Days 1–2: Pool and confined water training, theory sessions, equipment orientation. Days 3–4: Open Water certification dives at Grand Island (4 dives). Day 4–5: Nitrox theory and knowledge review, 1 Nitrox dive at Grand Island. Complimentary fun dives on remaining days.
