A full 40 minutes at 6–12m depth on Goa's best dive site. More time than a standard intro dive — enough to explore, relax, and actually take in the reef. You'll see tropical fish and coral, and earn the official SSI Basic Diver recognition card at the end. No experience required, age 10 and above.
Your dive takes place on a coral reef near Grande Island. Forty minutes gives you time to settle in, stop thinking about the breathing, and actually look at what is around you. Expect sergeant major fish, parrotfish, bannerfish, pufferfish, groupers, and possibly moray eels. At the end, FlyingFish issues you an official SSI Basic Diver recognition card — a real SSI credential you keep.
All timings approximate. The full experience runs about 4–5 hours including travel.
Meet your instructor at the hotel lobby. Fill out forms and get your medical safety briefing.
Practice scuba breathing, equalisation, and hand signals in the pool. Usually takes 45–60 minutes. Most people feel comfortable by the end.

The main difference is time underwater and what you earn. Try Scuba gives you 20 minutes to experience diving. The Basic Diver runs 40 minutes — enough to relax, explore, and take in the reef properly. It also includes the official SSI Basic Diver recognition card, which is a real SSI credential.
No swimming experience is required. The dive happens at 6–12m depth with your instructor beside you 1:1 the entire time. Basic comfort in water helps, but you do not need to be a swimmer.
