These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the services provided by FlyingFish Scuba School (“we,” “us,” or “our”), Goa’s official SSI-recognized scuba diving partner located at Novotel Resort & Spa, Candolim, Goa. By making a reservation, registration, or payment, you acknowledge that you have fully read, understood, and accepted these terms.

1. Services Offered

FlyingFish Scuba School provides scuba diving experiences, SSI certification courses, fun dives, and related underwater activities. Our services include:

  • Discover Scuba Diving (single and double dive experiences)
  • SSI Open Water Diver certification courses
  • Advanced and specialty diving courses
  • Fun dives for certified divers
  • Equipment rental

All experiences include professional instruction, diving equipment, and insurance coverage as specified in the booking details.

2. Age & Medical Requirements

  • Minimum age for scuba diving is 10 years
  • Participants under 18 years must have parental or guardian consent
  • Swimming experience is not required for introductory experiences
  • All participants must complete a medical questionnaire before diving
  • Participants with pre-existing medical conditions must obtain doctor’s clearance
  • Those on daily medication require medical approval to dive
  • We reserve the right to refuse service if a participant is deemed medically unfit

3. Booking & Payment

  • Bookings are confirmed upon receiving an advance payment of ₹2,000 per person
  • Balance payment is due on the day of the dive
  • We accept UPI, Visa, MasterCard, debit cards, direct bank transfers, and cash
  • Bank transfer fees, if any, are the customer’s responsibility
  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise

4. Certification Requirements

  • Certified divers must present a valid certification card and dive log before diving
  • Failure to present valid certification may result in mandatory course completion at additional cost
  • Certifications are issued through SSI upon successful completion of all course requirements

5. Safety Standards

  • All dives follow international safety protocols (SSI standards)
  • We maintain a maximum 1:1 instructor-to-student ratio for introductory dives
  • All equipment undergoes regular maintenance and inspection
  • We reserve the right to cancel any dive if conditions are deemed unsafe
  • Participants must follow all instructions given by dive instructors at all times

6. Participant Obligations

By participating in our activities, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful and complete medical information
  • Follow all safety instructions from dive staff
  • Refrain from alcohol and drugs before and during diving activities
  • Respect marine environments and follow responsible diving practices
  • Carry a valid government-issued photo ID
  • Arrive on time for your scheduled activity

7. Equipment Responsibility

  • Loss or damage to any hired dive equipment is your responsibility
  • Charges will be assessed on a replacement cost basis
  • Equipment deposits may be retained upfront for rental gear
  • Report any equipment issues to staff immediately

8. Liability & Waiver

  • All participants must sign a liability waiver before diving
  • By signing, you acknowledge the inherent risks of scuba diving activities
  • FlyingFish Scuba School shall not be liable for injury, death, damage, loss, or delay arising from circumstances beyond our control (force majeure)
  • We recommend obtaining scuba diving insurance for additional coverage
  • Claims based solely on personal opinion or subjective dissatisfaction will not be entertained unless involving specific and tangible inadequacies in service

9. Itinerary & Schedule Changes

  • FlyingFish reserves the right to rearrange schedules or modify itineraries when weather, sea conditions, or safety concerns require such changes
  • If minimum bookings are not met, activities may be rescheduled to the next available date
  • Alternative arrangements will be offered wherever possible

10. Photography & Media

  • Underwater photographs and videos may be captured during your experience
  • These images may be used for promotional and marketing purposes
  • If you wish to opt out, please inform us in writing before the dive

11. Cancellation & Refund

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy. Please review it before booking.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These terms are governed by the laws of India
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Goa

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
