The emergency first response course offered by SSI, React Right, gives you the skills and information required to act as a first responder in a medical emergency.

You can select the subjects you wish to learn about in this adaptable dive program, such as primary stabilization techniques, CPR, first aid, and assessment. Additionally, you can study the fundamentals of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and how to administer oxygen in diving situations.

Through a blend of didactic lectures and hands-on training exercises, this course will provide you with the knowledge and self-assurance required for emergency response. Once trained, you will be able to respond to medical emergencies as an emergency first responder, giving oxygen, performing CPR and first aid, and supporting an AED.

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program equips you with essential skills to ensure the safety of both yourself and fellow divers. You'll gain proficiency in recognizing stress indicators, accident prevention, and executing rescue maneuvers while also learning emergency care techniques. Through a blend of pool and open water training, you'll develop the confidence and readiness to effectively manage emergency scenarios. Upon successful completion, you'll attain the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.
