Finish Your Scuba Journey in Paradise: Complete Your PADI Open Water Referral Course in Goa!
Welcome to FlyingFish Scuba's PADI Open Water Referral Course. Did you start your PADI Open Water Diver course back home? Perhaps you completed the classroom theory. Maybe you finished the pool sessions too. Now, are you looking for the perfect place to complete your training? You found it. We specialize in helping divers like you. Finish your certification with our referral course program. Trade your local lake or chilly quarry for the warm, inviting waters of the Arabian Sea.
What Exactly is a the Referral Course?
The PADI system offers amazing flexibility. It understands not everyone can complete the full course in one place. The PADI open water referral course system lets you split your training. You can complete the knowledge development (eLearning or classroom) and confined water (pool) sessions with a PADI dive center near your home. Your instructor there signs off on your progress. They give you official PADI referral paperwork. This document proves what you have already accomplished.
You then bring this referral form to another PADI dive center. You can choose almost anywhere in the world. That's where we come in! Bring your valid PADI referral form (it's valid for 12 months) to FlyingFish Scuba School. We will help you complete the final, most exciting part. You will undertake the four required open water training dives with our expert instructors. Completing your PADI Open Water Course this way is incredibly convenient. You do the theory and pool work at your own pace. Then you enjoy the best part – the ocean dives – while on holiday in sunny Goa!
Why Choose Goa for Your PADI Referral Dives?

- Bring Your Paperwork: This is crucial. You MUST bring your official PADI referral documentation. Your previous instructor must have signed and dated it within the last 12 months. Bring your logbook too.
- Meet Your Instructor: We will introduce you to your PADI instructor. They will review your referral paperwork. They might ask a few questions to refresh your knowledge. We want to ensure you feel comfortable and ready.
- Schedule Your Dives: We will schedule your four open water training dives. This usually happens over two days. Two dives per day is typical.
- Go Diving! This is the exciting part. You head out to local Goan dive sites. Your instructor guides you through the required skills during the dives. You will practice things like buoyancy control, mask clearing, and navigation in the actual ocean environment. You also get plenty of time to simply explore and enjoy the underwater world.
What to Expect During Your Open Water Dives
Your four dives are your transition to becoming an independent diver. Your instructor ensures you comfortably apply the skills learned in the pool. You will demonstrate mastery of key procedures in an open water setting. But it's not just about skills checks. These dives are your chance to experience real underwater exploration.
Imagine descending into the blue. Watch sunlight filter down from the surface. Follow your instructor over colourful reefs. Observe fish going about their daily lives. Practice hovering effortlessly. Learn to navigate using a compass and natural references. Each dive builds your confidence and competence.
