The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course expands on the fundamental abilities taught in the Open Water Diver Course, allowing divers to expand their knowledge and ability in scuba diving.

It comprises of five dives, two of which are required:

• 
  A deep dive of 30 meters (100 feet)
  
• 
  A navigation dive
  

The diver selects the remaining three dives from a list of alternatives including drift diving, peak performance buoyancy, underwater photography, fish identification, night diving, search and recovery, and wreck diving, among others.

This training gives divers useful experiences at several dive locations, helping them comprehend the underwater environment and improve their abilities.

The course normally takes 2–3 days to complete and needs a minimum age of 12 years, with maximum depths determined by the diver's age.

Enrolling in the Advanced Open Water Diver Course requires completion of the Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification.

The PADI Open Water Diver Course usually takes 3 to 4 days to complete.

There are no prerequisites or swimming requirements for beginners, making it perfect for first-timers.

The minimum age is 10 years for Junior Open Water Diver and 15 years for Open Water Diver.

The maximum depth allowed is 12 meters (for ages 10–11) and 18 meters (for ages 12 and above).

Inclusions:

The course includes full scuba gear — wetsuit (3mm), BCD, regulator, fins, mask, snorkel, weights, and tanks.

It also includes confined water dives, open water dives, and refreshments during surface intervals.

Video and photo services are available at an additional cost.

Exclusions:

Optional activities, any damage or loss of equipment beyond normal use, and emergency medical services beyond basic first aid are not included.

What is the PADI Open Water Diver Course about?

It’s an entry-level scuba certification that allows you to dive independently anywhere in the world.

Who can enroll?

Anyone aged 10 years or above (Junior Open Water) or 15+ (Open Water), in good health and comfortable in water.

What gear is required?

Yes. You can begin the theory through PADI eLearning before arriving in Goa.
