SSI Air Nitrox

The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) course teaches divers to safely plan and conduct dives using enriched air blends containing up to 40% oxygen. This allows longer bottom times and reduced surface intervals while exploring underwater.

Nitrox diving extends your dive durations and increases safety by reducing nitrogen absorption. This means more time underwater exploring and less waiting on the surface, while also potentially reducing fatigue after dives.

Divers must be at least 10 years old. If in-water training is included, participants need an Open Water Diver certification. Academic sessions are provided online, while pool or open water dives are optional depending on the training package.

Upon successful completion, you’ll earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification (32% or 40%), signifying your ability to safely plan and dive with enriched air. The program typically takes 6–10 hours and covers all necessary theoretical knowledge.
