Different species of fish with cartilage in place of bones include sharks. They inhabit oceans from very deep waters to those along the coast all across the planet. We currently know of around 500 different species of sharks, and they exist in a wide variety of sizes and forms.

Large and renowned for its pointed fangs is the Great White Shark. Whale Shark: The largest fish in the water, enormous in size.
The Hammerhead Shark has eyes on the extremities of its head, which resembles a hammer.
Tiger Shark: Known for its stripes, this predator will devour nearly everything. Bull Shark: Known for its hostile nature, this species can be found in both rivers and oceans.
Mako Shark: Quick and has two varieties: shortfin and longfin. Blue Shark: Very sleek and blue-gray in hue. Slow-moving and fond of resting on the ocean floor is the nurse shark.
The goblin shark has an unusual appearance and a large, flat snout. The Thresher Shark utilizes its long tail like a whip.
The cookiecutter shark is a small shark that is renowned for biting larger prey. Spotted like a leopard, leopard sharks are found in shallow seas.
Angel Shark: Ray-like body that has been flattened. Sand
Tiger Shark: With its pointed fangs protruding, it has a fearsome appearance. A shark with six gills as opposed to the typical five.
Porbeagle Shark: Resembles a scaled-down Great White.
Dogfish Sharks: Tiny sharks that inhabit different environments.
This is but a tiny selection of the numerous varieties of sharks that exist. Researchers are constantly discovering new varieties and learning more about them.
